A new cafe in Exeter

Butternut cafe in Exeter

Another another week, another cafe

Exeter has a new cafe, and amazingly it is not part of a chain!

To explain to those not familiar with Exeter. It became infamous for having the UK’s blandest high street due to the monopoly of chain stores on it. Let’s hope the independent Butternut Cafe is a step towards diversity.

So what’s it called and what’s it like?

It’s the Butternut Cafe and is a contemporary cafe complete with free wifi.

The food is good and fresh with rye bread an option for sandwiches. The smoothies are good too. We did not try the coffee as the cakes looked well made but we were too full after a sandwich and smoothie!

Best for meeting friends at lunch or savouring a smoothie and using the wifi to catch up with emails.
